Questions about HelloDoc Health

No, when required we also provide onsite visits or we will make sure you will have access to the nearest physical healthcare provider wherever you are.

How we work?
In principle, the first appointment with a general practitioner, therapist or other healthcare provider is always by live chat, telephone or digitally (video). When it is better to discuss your healthcare needs at our physical practice, our GP or therapist will invite you for an appointment at the practice or onsite at the location where you reside at that moment.

Would you like to make an appointment for a healthcare demand that requires physical contact, such as heart diagnostics, ear syringes or the insertion of an IUD? Then you can immediately make an appointment at for a physical consult. In addition, you can always arrange all your healthcare matters online via our patient portal.

HelloDoc Health is an independent privately owned provider of healthcare services: telehealth, digital health, onsite consults, e-prescriptions, lab tests and subscriptions to various healthcare plans.

We currently provide telehealth consults via live chat, phone and video in Europe and Africa.

If you are registered with HelloDoc Health (or one of our customers), insured at one of the insurance providers we partner with, have a subscription or healthcare plan with us, aged 18 or over, have a valid address and a mobile number, you can sign up and book a HelloDoc Health appointment.

Children and young people aged 2-17 are also able to use our telehealth services when accompanied by a legal parent or guardian – please see here for more information about child consultations.

If your HelloDoc Health consult is covered by a health insurance plan by an insurer we have a contract with, you usually do not have to pay in advance. In that case we will seek reimbursement from your insurance.

Otherwise you can pay online for your HelloDoc Health consult(s). We provide various payments options and accept most debit cards, credit cards and PayPal.

Yes, we do. However, at present only in the Netherlands. In other countries and regions we work with local partners. So, if our doctors think you need a physical examination, you’ll be referred to the best local primary healthcare services in your area. This could include blood pressure checks, taking X-ray photos, ultrasound, inoculations, lab tests or a closer physical examination.

You can use most desktop PC’s, tablets, laptops and smart phones for HelloDoc Health consultations, as long as they have a webcam, microphone and speakers. Make sure you’re running on a new version of Google Chrome or Safari for the best experience.
