Questions about Video Consultations

In order to have a video appointment with HelloDoc Health you will need a mobile, tablet, PC or laptop with a good camera, working microphone and strong internet connection.

You will also need to provide a valid form of photo ID before you enter your consultation. We accept the following forms of photo ID:

  • Passport
  • Driving License / Provisional License
  • Disabled Driver Card
  • Military ID Card

While waiting for your doctor to connect, you will be invited to either upload a picture of your ID or take an all new picture there and then – leaving more time for your docotr to diagnose and advise. Please note that the ID image will be deleted immediately after your consultation has ended.

Just like in a physical consultation, the online doctor will discuss your symptoms. As it is a video consultation, they can also take a look at any affected areas, or listen out for symptoms. Where medication is needed for you to get better, the GP can issue a prescription.

Once you have signed up for an account (via our homepage), you can book online appointments in our app or on the website. Once it is time for your consultation, you will enter our online waiting room, and the doctor will see you as soon as possible.

As our clinicians are licensed to provide diagnostics, prescriptions and treatments that can be dispensed within Europe only, we are currently not always able to provide consultations with patients outside of the European region for e-prescriptions. Our virtual health can be offered around the globe.

If you miss your prebooked appointment, please get in touch with our patient experience team on support@hellodoc.health. Please note that if you are using our paid service, you will not be eligible for a refund. If you think you are going to miss your appointment, you can cancel up to 4 hours before your appointment start time for a full refund. If you cancel less than four hours before, unfortunately we will not be able to refund you.

We currently provide our GP consults in English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Russian, Arabic, Italian, Bulgarian, Hindi and Urdu.

Our mental health consults are being provided in English, Dutch and Bulgarian.

Our diet, weight loss and lifestyle consults are being provided in English, Dutch and Bulgarian.

Unfortunately we cannot support appointments under power of attorney. You will need to book a face-to-face appointment at your own GP practice.

Yes you most certainly can! In your video consultation there will be a chat box at the bottom of your screen where you can speak to your doctor using text. Once you enter the consultation, type the doctor a message so that he or she knows to speak to you over the chat. In case you have got any questions before booking or entering your consultation, you can speak to our customer experience team over web chat.
